By booking or using services from Jaycee McGee Photography, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a clear understanding of policies and expectations for both parties.
2. Booking & Retainer (Deposit) Policy
- A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the session or wedding date.
- The deposit for weddings and elopements is 20% of the total collection price.
- The deposit for all other sessions is a flat $80 (senior & individual, couples, engagement, family, and homecoming & prom).
- The deposit is applied toward the total session balance.
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before the wedding date for weddings and elopements, and 2 days before the session date for all other sessions.
- Accepted payment methods: major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers (ACH).
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
- Client-initiated cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
- If you cancel 30 days or more before the session or wedding date, your deposit is refundable.
- If you cancel within 30 days of the session or wedding date (less than 30 days before), your deposit is forfeited.
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be made at least 14 days in advance.
- Retainers may be transferred to a new date once, at Jaycee McGee Photography's discretion.
4. Weather & Outdoor Session Policy
- Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to severe weather (heavy rain, dangerous lightning, extreme heat/cold) at the photographer's discretion.
- Weather-related reschedules will not result in retainer forfeiture.
- Light overcast or mild weather is not grounds for rescheduling and often produces beautiful results.
5. Copyright & Image Ownership
- Jaycee McGee Photography retains full copyright of all images captured during any session.
- Clients are granted a personal use license: images may be printed, shared on personal social media, and used for personal purposes.
- Clients may not sell, license, or use images for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Clients may not apply filters, crop, or alter delivered images in ways that misrepresent the photographer's work.
- Jaycee McGee Photography reserves the right to use any session images for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, and educational purposes.
- If a client prefers privacy (e.g., for elopements or sensitive situations), they may submit a written request for images not to be published; Jaycee McGee Photography will honor reasonable requests at her discretion.

7. Client Responsibilities
- Clients are responsible for arriving on time; late arrivals may result in a shortened session with no refund adjustment.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring all agreed-upon participants (family members, wedding party, etc.) are present and prepared.
- Clients acknowledge they have reviewed any location or venue requirements and obtained necessary permits where applicable.
- Jaycee McGee Photography is not responsible for outcomes related to client unpreparedness, late arrival, or failure to communicate relevant details prior to the session.
